Jerry Gonzales RN, MS
Mr. Gonzales, who has been a Diabetes Educator in the past, has joined Alamo Diabetes Team as a Diabetes Educator.
Jerry has over 35 years experience as a Registered Nurse in clinical, administrative, and research nursing throughout the world.
He graduated in 1973 from the University of Texas Nursing School at San Antonio and obtained a Masters of Science in Health Care Administration from TWU in Houston in 1982.
After 20 years on active duty, Mr. Gonzales retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army Nurse Corps where he left in 1998 as Chief Nurse at Brooke Army Medical Center and has since worked in numerous clinical settings with an emphasis in Operations, Teaching, and Administration.
He is presently a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and a member of the Alamo Association of Diabetes Educators. Jerry is also a member of the Veterans Administration/DOD Interest Group of the AADE and is a member of the Veteran's Affairs Commission for the city of San Antonio.
